Jane Goodall Institute Australia & Alt Saints
Alt Saints is thrilled to partner with Jane Goodall Institute Australia.
Alt Saints was created to support grassroots environmental organisations, and JGIA is a perfect fit. ThroughAlt Saints’ Love the Planet program, Alt Saints is pledging 1% of revenue to support JGIA in our very first alliance.
The Jane Goodall Institute Australia CEO, James Forbes, said that partnering with innovative businesses committed to a sustainable future is one of the most effective ways for us to reach a healthy balance with the planet.
"I am just delighted that JGIA has been able to partner with Alt Saints - a small business doing great things. This partnership will support our operation to deliver our work both here in Australia and across Africa", James said.
"I thank Charbel and his team at Alt Saints for being so visionary and call on our community to support this business endeavouring to make our world a better place."
CEO and Founder of Alt Saints, Charbel Zeaiter, says “JGIA is one of my favourite organisations. Between their work in Africa and the incredible youth education programRoots & Shoots they’ve created a platform to effect positive, lasting change through education and inspired, community-centred involvement in solving ecological challenges.
If you don’t know who she is, just search for “Dr. Jane Goodall” and you’ll discover how impactful her work is. As a world renowned ethologist, UN Messenger of Peace and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute she’s had over half a century of experience in Africa studying and understanding the links between humans and primates. Her deep knowledge has given us all a deeper understanding of the intricacies of primate behaviour and in turn, a deeper understanding of who we are.
It’s a nice coincidence that theTapanuli Orangutan is Alt Saints’ mascot; as with all great apes, we cannot help but see ourselves, as we share more than 98% of our DNA with them.
As Alt Saints is doing what we can to think and act holistically, we loveDr. Jane’s approach in “restoring critical habitat to save chimpanzees from extinction; improving health for women and education for girls; cultivating local livelihoods in harmony with nature; and helping young people become the informed generation of conservation leaders the world so urgently needs through our Roots & Shoots youth programs in nearly 100 countries.”
So our work begins and partnering with the Jane Goodall Institute Australia is an honour. James and his team at JGIA are some of the most passionate, committed and positive people I’ve met. I’m honoured to bring our teams together to support positive action and meaningful education.”
